When Reality
Is No Longer Enough

We create 3D films and imagery that make complex technologies easy to understand, bring products to life before they’re manufactured, and embody the vision of brands that want to leave a lasting impression.

When reality is no longer enough, 3D takes over

The limitations of a medium should never become the limitations of an idea.

A camera doesn’t fit into a mold. A sensor isn’t visible to the naked eye. A product that doesn’t yet exist can’t be photographed. That’s where our work begins:3D animation and CGI for industry, right where reality ends.

Every idea has a purpose. But not all of them speak the same language.

Every project begins with a simple question: What do you want others to understand, feel, or imagine?

Some innovations need to be explained. Others need to win people over even before they exist. Still others simply need to leave a lasting impression. It is this intention that determines the visual language we will create: industrial 3D animation, technical visualization, product animation or brand films..

Explain · Persuade · Evoke emotion

Intention 01

Explain

For innovation, industry, healthcare, and complex technologies—when an idea is sound but difficult to explain to a layperson.

We get calls for

  • Explaining a Complex Technology
  • Show the interior of a machine or component
  • Illustrating a patent or technical document
Intention 02

Persuade

For products, investors, and launches—when you need to build trust and speed up a decision even before the product exists.

We get calls for

  • Launching a Product Before It Is Manufactured
  • Presenting an Innovation to Investors
  • Create a video for a trade show
Intention 03

Evoke emotion

For brands, artists, and immersive experiences—when the goal is no longer to explain, but to leave a lasting impression.

We get calls for

  • Create high-end marketing visuals
  • Replacing a scene that is impossible to film
  • Bringing a Brand's World to Life

Our 3D Animation and CGI Services

To explain
  • Industrial 3D Videos

Machines, production lines, and processes clearly illustrated: cross-sections, exploded views, and operating sequences. Technical documentation, in-house training, B2B sales pitches.
  • Technical Visualization

The interior of a component or a process. Furnaces, cleanrooms, classified sites, the microscopic scale: 3D goes where production ends. Brevets, dossiers techniques, présentations R&D.
  • Industrial CGI

Integration of your drawings or CAD files directly into our production process, or complete recreation of your parts, machines, and processes. Product documentation, technical catalogs, sales materials.
To Persuade
  • Product Animation

Reveal cinematic sequences and showcase features, starting at the CAD stage. Product pages, launch campaigns, social media.
  • Product Visualization & Virtual Prototype

Communicate, sell, and pre-market using photorealistic renderings before a prototype or first unit exists. Pre-launch, order processing, sales materials.
  • Investor Visual Storytelling

To bring to life what currently exists only on paper, at the decisive moment of takeoff. Pitch decks, investment committees.
To Evoke emotion
  • Brand Films

Convey a vision through powerful visual storytelling, from the storyboard to the final edit. Brand communication, marketing campaigns, product launches, social media
  • 3D Visual Worlds

Model, animate, and bring a character to life—including by integrating it into your live-action footage. Brand communication, advertising campaigns, entertainment, digital content.
  • CGI Marketing Visuals

Premium images and widescreen loops taken from the same 3D model. Catalogs, display advertising, high-end print materials, booth displays.

Industries that rely on our expertise in 3D animation

We work with those who push the boundaries of reality.

Our projects take shape where technology becomes difficult to convey. We collaborate with stakeholders in industry, healthcare, robotics, electronics, deep tech, energy, plastics, the automotive sector, and connected devices to bring to light innovations that traditional methods cannot showcase.

Symbiose

How can you show a molded electronic circuit inside a plastic part?

The challenge: The electronics are molded into the plastic part, so no camera can fit inside the mold. We recreated the process in 3D, then adapted the same model to five different sectors to demonstrate the technology in its real-world environment.

Deconstruction

Seven everyday products deconstructed in 3D to reveal their engineering.

The challenge: Transforming complex objects into clear visualizations—revealing each part, its role, and the logic behind its assembly, from Polaroid cameras to air conditioning turbines.

Ocean Days

How can you turn a flat logo into a living, breathing character on the street?

The challenge: bringing a flat logo to life on a real street, at the correct scale. We recreated it as an animated 3D character, then integrated it into an exterior shot by adjusting the natural lighting and camera tracking on location.

Why choose Sunsplash for your 3D animations?

What makes us different

Dual expertise

Artistic direction and technical expertise go hand in hand. The visual concept and its 3D execution are never handled by two separate teams.

Agile Studio

Two senior artists. No account managers, no briefing chains. You talk to the people making your visuals.

Premium execution

A cinematic approach applied to industrial content. The same attention to detail — whatever the subject.

Business minded

Results over decoration. Every visual is designed to serve a specific commercial or communication objective.

From Concept to Film: Our 3D Animation Process

From the invisible idea
to the final image.

Frequently Asked Questions · 3D Video & CGI

What we're asked to do before we start.

Can't find your question here? Write to us—we'll respond within 24 business hours.

How much does an industrial 3D video cost?

The budget depends on three factors: the length of the film, the geometric complexity of the parts to be modeled, and the desired level of detail. As a general guide, a single CGI still image produced from your CAD files starts at around €900, a short 20- to 30-second industrial 3D sequence starts at around €3,500, and a full-length film with process reconstruction generally ranges from €8,000 to €20,000.

Each project is accompanied by a customized quote, prepared after our initial discussion and the presentation of the first visual concepts—that is, before you make any commitment.

What are the production lead times?

From a few days for a simple visual to several weeks for a complex animation. Deadlines are set before production begins and are met. The main factor causing delays is not 3D, but the availability of your technical files and the speed of approvals.

What do we need to provide you with to get started?

Ideally, your CAD files (STEP, IGES, SolidWorks, among others), your brand guidelines, and a description of the process to be demonstrated. We integrate them directly into the 3D pipeline, which speeds up production and ensures technical accuracy.

Sans CAO exploitable, nous modélisons à partir de plans, de photos ou de relevés — la production est alors un peu plus longue.

3D Animation or Live-Action Filming: How Do You Choose?

Filming is still the best option when the product exists, can be filmed, and you’re looking for authenticity. 3D becomes necessary in four cases: the product doesn’t exist yet, the phenomenon is invisible or internal, the scale is inaccessible, or you need to show many variations without reshooting.

Many projects combine the two, with 3D elements integrated into real-world footage through tracking and compositing.

Do you work throughout France and internationally?

Yes. The studio is based in Bordeaux and Montpellier, and the 3D production can be handled entirely remotely: video conference calls, feedback via online review links, and online delivery of assets. We work with clients throughout France and internationally.

What happens if the product changes during the project?

This is common in industrial and deep tech projects. As long as the storyboard and initial concepts have not been approved, changes are incorporated at no additional cost. Once approved, any changes to the geometry are quoted in terms of additional production days.

That is precisely why the “Design” phase comes before production: it keeps the cost of making changes low.

What file formats do you provide?

The assets are delivered ready to use in all the formats required for your campaign: web and social media videos in 16:9, 1:1, and 9:16, widescreen loops for trade show booths, wide banners for product pages, and high-resolution still images for print and catalogs.

Your project deserves a vision that matches its ambition.
