Projects · 3D Animation & CGI Studio · Bordeaux & Montpellier Making the Invisible Visible
We transform challenges that are impossible to film into clear, memorable images. Invisible industrial processes, products that are still virtual or don’t yet exist, animated characters, or 3D integrations into the real world: every project begins with a limit to be overcome. Discover our 3D animation projects, created in Bordeaux, Montpellier, and remotely.

Our Belief
The limitations of a medium should never become the limitations of an idea.
Every project begins with an idea that needs to be brought to life. Our role is to find the visual form that allows each idea to come to life, whether through 3D animation, live-action footage, or an approach we develop specifically for the project.
The Inaccessible Process
A mold, an oven, a clean room: a place where no cameras are allowed.
The product that hasn't been created yet
A prototype, a machine, an object that currently exists only on paper.
Complex technologies
Innovations whose technical complexity must be immediately understandable.
The World That Doesn't Exist
Dreamlike lighting, a magical setting, a world to be created from scratch.
Detailed Projects
The challenges we have brought to light.
Industrial 3D video, technical process visualization, animated 3D mascots, 3D integration into live-action footage, and product CGI: a glimpse of what we produce—we make the invisible visible, regardless of the industry. Each project is categorized by its purpose— explain, persuade or evoke emotion —following the same framework used throughout Sunsplash.
How can we bring products to life before they go into production?
We recreated the IME process in 3D, then adapted the same model to five application areas to showcase the technology in its real-world environment—from the automotive industry to household appliances.
Result
A single technology adapted for five markets.
The Challenge
Existing technology, but products that aren't

How can you add depth to a logo that has only ever existed in two dimensions?
For their festival on the Promenade Sainte-Catherine in Bordeaux, the Owlshake collective had a 2D logo and a goal: an Instagram video unlike any other. We recreated their owl in 3D—including modeling, texturing faithful to their brand identity, and full rigging—then integrated the character into a live-action shot in bright sunlight along the banks of the Garonne River.
Result
A 2D logo transformed into an animatable character—and reused in the very next collaboration.
The Challenge
A 2D logo with no depth or movement

Can a logo come to life on a dance floor?
Following the success of Ocean Days, Owlshake returned for an evening at the Bien Public bar in Bordeaux. We reworked the character’s rig, adapted its animations for dance, and then recreated the venue’s exact lighting in 3D—including reflections on the floor and cast shadows—so that the mascot would appear to be genuinely illuminated by the venue’s lights.
Result
The reused rig provides a believable transition between 3D and live-action footage.

How can we reveal everything there is to an object we think we know?
A finished object reveals nothing about its construction: it is self-contained. We’ve broken it down in 3D—each part suspended, oriented, and lit on its own—to reveal what a physical disassembly would damage and what a photograph could not capture. Spring, dial, reservoir, cover: the assembly becomes a narrative rather than a technical diagram.
Result
The interior of an object rendered in detail, without disassembly or photography.
The Challenge
Show the inside without opening the object

Coming soonOur Approach
One method, regardless of the medium.
No matter the project, we follow the same approach: understanding the objective, defining the visual language, creating the images, and finalizing the deliverables. Key decisions are approved during pre-production, when adjustments are still easiest to incorporate.
Understand
We analyze the subject matter, the audience, the technical constraints, and the expected outcome before beginning production.
Design
The script, storyboard, and art direction help ensure that the message, pacing, and visual choices are on point.
Build
Modeling, texturing, and animation based on your CAD files, your brand identity, or live-action footage.
Reveal
Lighting, rendering, compositing, color grading, and variations transform 3D production into broadcast-ready content.
Two 3D artists. A cinematic perspective.
Sunsplash is a collaboration between Karina and Léna Milla, two 3D artists who trained at ESMA Montpellier. From art direction to compositing, they oversee every project personally to ensure consistency between the initial concept and the final image.

Frequently Asked Questions · 3D Video & CGI
Do you have a project in mind?
Can't find your question here? Write to us—we'll respond within 24 business hours.
What do we need to provide you with to get a 3D animation project started?
It depends on the subject matter: your CAD files (STEP, IGES, SolidWorks), your drawings, or your visual identity—and in any case, an idea of the message and the intended format for distribution. We incorporate these elements starting with the storyboard phase.
Even without a starting point, we can work with you to create an entirely new character, world, or setting.
Why choose 3D and CGI over a traditional film shoot?
3D becomes necessary when the subject is invisible or internal, when it does not yet exist, when the scale is inaccessible, or when the desired action is physically impossible to film. This is true for a molding process as well as for a logo that comes to life.
When a scene can be filmed as-is, filming remains relevant—and many of our projects combine the two through tracking and compositing.
What happens if the product changes during the project?
As long as the storyboard and initial concepts have not been approved, changes are incorporated at no additional cost. Once approved, any changes to the geometry or storyline are estimated in terms of additional production days.
That is precisely why the “Design” phase comes before production: it keeps the cost of making changes low.
How much does a 3D video or image cost?
The budget depends on the duration, the complexity of the 3D models, and the level of detail. As a general guide: a single CGI still image starts at around €900, and a full-length film featuring a process reconstruction or an animated character typically ranges from €8,000 to €20,000.
Each project is accompanied by a customized quote, prepared after our initial discussion and the presentation of our initial ideas—that is, before you make any commitment.
Do you work throughout France and internationally?
Yes. The studio is based in Bordeaux and Montpellier, and the 3D production can be handled entirely remotely: video conference calls, feedback via online review links, and online delivery of assets. We work with clients throughout France and internationally.
Your project deserves a vision that matches its ambition.
